Guru ji's divine throne
Baba Balwant Singh passed away in 1990. During their final days, he frequently mentioned Baba Gurdial Singh Ji’s name, urging him to take on the responsibility of performing Gurbani Kirtan. However, Baba Gurdial Singh Ji was inclined to continue their private job. In response to the earnest requests from numerous pilgrims and under the guidance of Baba Maan Singh Ji (Pehowa), Baba Gurdial Singh Ji eventually embraced the duty of Gurbani Kirtan.
Since that time, you have been diligently managing the responsibilities at Baba Balwant Singh Ji’s Penance Place.
Their Aim of life
The aim and commitment of Baba Gurdial Singh Ji were to fulfill the aspirations of Baba Balwant Singh Ji. In 1998, Baba Gurdial Singh Ji inaugurated a Medical Charitable Hospital in the name of Baba Balwant Singh Ji. At this hospital, Baba Ji initiated treatments at a minimal cost of just Rs. 10 per patient. Most of the treatments for various diseases were provided at nominal rates. Today, the hospital has evolved into a Multi Super Specialty Hospital in Tanda Urmur.
Every year, the hospital also hosts a Free Annual Eye Camp, providing free eye check-ups and eye lenses to many patients.
Additionally, a new building for the Penance Place of Baba Balwant Singh Ji has been constructed at the same location. At the Gurudwara Sahib, langar is served continuously three times a day. During the COVID-19 pandemic, this was the sole location distributing langar to every household.
Baba Ji also contributes to the education of underprivileged students, ensuring they can continue their studies. Moreover, Baba Ji organizes the free distribution of sweets for the marriages of economically disadvantaged daughters.
